IMPORTANT: New Eagle Requirement

Posted on Oct 18 2013 - 6:31pm

The following is an announcement published by Patricia Day, Pomperaug District Advancement Chair

Life Scouts who will have Eagle boards of review after 12/31/13 must have Cooking merit badge. This means that just turning in paperwork before that date does not count. It’s the board of review date that determines whether Cooking is Eagle required.

Eagle Scout Project Request

Posted on Sep 30 2013 - 7:03am

Friends/Family/Friends of Friends:

I’m writing to tell you about an aspect of my Eagle Scout project that you might be inspired to help with. I am partnering with Webb Mountain Discovery Zone in Monroe, CT to design, prepare and install a Bird Sanctuary. If you’ve never been to The Discovery Zone, it’s worth a visit! Built on a 171 acre tract of land, it offers interpretive trails and programs dedicated to promote exploration and learning in a fun, hands-on environment.
