Court of Awards, Christmas Party and Scout Grab Bag

The annual Christmas Party and Court of Awards will be held Sunday December 20 at 4:30 in the St. Jude School Gym. All scouts and families are invited. The Senior Patrol asks each family to provide some food item for the party. Please sign up and indicate what you will be bringing in the Notes Section.

2016 Merit Badge College Registration Open

Merit Badge College will be held on January 30th, February 6th, 20th, and 27th. March 5th will be a snow date. Troop Registration closes December 11 and payment must be made by then.

Scouts must be 1st Class rank. No exceptions. All classes will be at Lyman Hall, 70 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford CT. 

Go-Kart Event: Meeting Time and Location

For those going to the go-karting event this Saturday (December 12th) please meet at the St.Jude's parking lot at 11am sharp.

Wreath Sale Fundraiser - SIGN UP NOW

The wreath sale is one of our largest fundraisers of the year. All scouts are expected to sell a minimum of six wreaths on an individual basis. Wreaths will arrive on the Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving. If you need to deliver wreaths to your customers on Thanksgiving, please arrange for pick up by contacting Mr. Bonczek prior to Thanksgiving. The attached form can be used to track your individual sales, but any form of communication to Mr. Bonczek will suffice. Payment upon pickup is preferred.

Scouts and parents are also expected to volunteer with group sales which will take place on November 27th, 28th, and December 5th (two adults are required for each sales slot). Each scout should sign up for TWO time slots. Gift certificates will be awarded to the top three sellers (individual sales plus a share of the group sales for each slot that a scout works).

12" Wreaths prices are $12 (no bow) or $15 with a bow. 16" wreaths are $16 (no bow) or $19 with a bow.

Individual orders and pick ups must be arranged with Mr. Bonczek via email (wreathsales"AT"troop163.org), phone/text, or in person.

Troop Equipment Return

All scouts are reminded to return troop equipment at the beginning of a troop meeting and not at the end. The storage room is locked up by the end of the meeting. Returning at the start of the meeting allow the youth quartermaster(s) the opportunity to properly inspect and store the items rather than quickly just put away.

If you do forget to return the equipment, it is better to inform the youth quartermasters(s) and bring it to the beginning of the next meeting.
