Registration is now open through Saturday September 7 for this year's annual camp out with the local Pack Webelos II Dens. Scout participation is needed to ensure that we can put on a good program for the Webelos.

End of 2012-2013 Scout Financial Year Approaching

The 2012-2013 troop financial year is approaching. The financial year ends Aug 31, 2013.
Please make sure all requests for reimbursements reach the troop treasurer, Vivian Philbrick, by August 23, 2013.

The troop gear periodically needs inspection and repairs to ensure that it will be reliable on troop outings. Broken or malfunctioning gear can seriously impact a trip. The Adult Quartermaster could use some help going through gear - usually only once or twice per year (with scout help) or to repair individual pieces of equipment throughout the year. Please contact Bill Tripodi Jr ( to let him know that you can help out.

Please Submit your Driver / Vehicle Information

BSA requirements for outdoor activities often include submittal of a "Tour Plan". The tour plan helps the troop verify that it has sufficiently planned for a SAFE activity and part of this review includes verifying driver and vehicle qualifications. Per the BSA website ( "the plan helps to organize safe and appropriate transportation to and from an event, and defines driver qualifications and minimum limits of insurance coverage for drivers and vehicles used to transport participants."

To ensure that we have the current information for all potential drivers and vehicles for troop events, we ask that you submit the following information to Jim Wendt ( The current list is several years old and contains outdated information. Newer scout families are not on the list.

Please take a few moments to complete the information below so that I may update our spreadsheet before we begin our new travelling season in September. Please respond even if you think I may have your information. The information requested will be used for the sole purpose of filing tour permits with the BSA Council.

  • Driver's name/license number/expiration date
  • Vehicle year/make/model and total number of seats (including driver)
  • Liability Insurance Coverage Limits: Each Person/Each Accident/Property Damage
  • Willingness to tow troop trailer if need arises (Yes/No)
