PLC Members - Prepare to Plan!

Posted on Aug 22 2012 - 8:19pm

Our first Patrol Leaders Council meeting is next week and we need to plan for a busy September. PLC members should "be prepared" to discuss the month's scheduled activities (that includes knowing what they are) and developing detailed plans and assignments (paper and pen will be useful). Let's get off to a good start with great planning!

Summer Countdown

Posted on Aug 22 2012 - 8:03pm

As of August 23, there are:

  • 3 Days until The Hiking Trail Service Project.
  • 4 Days until School Starts.
  • 6 Days until the next PLC.
  • 11 Days until the next school vacation (Labor Day).
  • 17 Days until the next troop meeting.

Virtus Training This Saturday

Posted on Aug 1 2012 - 10:38pm

All adults who are registered or plan to register with the troop must take the training program "Protecting God's Children for Adults", regularly offered in the Bridgeport Diocese. There is a class this Saturday at St Jude. Contact the St. Jude Parish office to register if you are interested.

Your Year is Planned! (Subject to Change)

Posted on Aug 1 2012 - 10:36pm

Thanks to your input and a great effort by the PLC, the projected troop schedule for the year is now available on the troop website. We have some great trips and activities identified. The schedule still needs some review, including alignment of resources, however, this should give you a good idea of what to expect for the year.

New Scouts, are you bored? Exercise!

Posted on Aug 1 2012 - 8:10pm

The next rank Board of Review is in September. To earn the Tenderfoot rank, you must exercise for a minimum of 30 days and show improvement (Requirements 10a, 10b). The summer would be a great time to work on this requirement.
