OPEN LETTER TO OUR FAMILIES

Posted on Oct 22 2012 - 8:31pm

An Open Letter to Our Families

The files list the names of people who are deemed unsuitable for membership in the Boy Scouts of America because of their inappropriate behavior; primarily sexual abuse. The files have never been secret. They have been reported on in newspapers, books, and other media, but were kept confidential because experts agree that confidentiality is a key component of effective reporting.
