Memorial Day Parade 5/25 and Float Build 5/24

To honor our veterans and fallen soldiers, all scouts and leaders are encouraged to march with our float in the Memorial Day Parade, Sunday May 25th. The float build will occur Saturday May 24th at St Judes, 9am. For the march Sunday, the troop will meet on the Stop & Shop side of Elm Street, slot #11, at 1:15 pm. Parents should pick up their scouts at the Monroe Green by the Town Hall, immediately followinng the parade.  Bring plenty of water to keep you hydrated.  Candy optional, to hand out to viewers.  PLEASE REGISTER FOR BOTH THE FLOAT BUILD AND MARCH, Thank you. Pancake Breakfast Signup Reminder - Did you forget?

Remember to sign up, via the troop website, for this Sunday's Pancake Breakfast. We only have 2 fundraisers a year and this is the last for this scout year. Your particiapation in important. So far 13 Scouts have signed up.  Help is especially needed for the second shift (9:30-12:30). 

New Troop Committee Chair Email Address

The troop, before login, Home Page has been 'phished'. So interested individuals are now direct to the "Contact Us" portion and all reference to emails have been removed. As a result the committee chair email address has been changed. Please refer to a followup email to learn what the new address is.

Merit Badge College Merit Badges

Mr Duckworth has all the merit badge blue cards from Merit Badge College. Please contact him for applicant copies and any partials.

Next Court of Awards will be June 18, 2014, at the troop picnic.

Pancake Breakfast Sign Up now Open

The annual Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday, May 4, serving food from 8:00-12:00. Uniform is the Class A Uniform (Shirt and Pants).

Sign-up is now open. All scouts are expected to sign up for a shift to help with this fundraiser.

Each scout is also expected to sell at least six tickets - which were handed out at the April 13 troop meeting.  If you did not get your tickets, contact Mr Andronowitz (pancakes@troop163.org) to pick them up.

Parents are also needed to help prepare food and can sign up online.

Everyone who eats at the pancake breakfast must purchase a ticket, even if you are working at the fundraiser.

The money earned at this fundraiser is used to pay for awards, camp permits, equipment, administrative expenses, and other expenses. The fundraiser reduces costs that would otherwise be passed on to the scouts. Successful fundraisers require the continued efforts of all scouts and their parents in the troop. For parents who don’t like to camp, this fundraiser provides an excellent opportunity to participate in a scouting event and help the troop.

Whitewater Rafting Trip Registration Open - Until May 3rd

Online registration is now available for the May Rafting trip. Sign up and pay by May 3rd if you intend to go.
